Kurt Campbell stated coordination between the five nations trying to get North Korea back to negotiations aimed at ending its nuclear programs was better than ever – “virtually unprecedented”.
The US Secretary of State stating the US has absolutely no intention of relaxing sanctions against North Korea.
North Korea stated a peace treaty, instead of an armistice agreement, with the US is necessary as a pre-condition to settle the ongoing nuclear stalemate.
North Korea expressed “regrets” over the deaths of six South Koreans caused by its abrupt discharge of dam water last month during a working-level talks between the two Koreas held in Kaesong, North Korea on 14 October.
As the time of this posting, North Korean media have not been observed to report on the North-South working-level talks and North Korea's expression of regret over recent deaths of South Korean citizens on 06 September.
North Korea stated North Korea will continue to reconciliatory efforts toward the South at a recent UNESCO general meeting.
